Democratic NY Governor Eliot Spitzer aka Client #9 - Linked to Prostitution Ring, expected to resign.
Mar 10th, 2008 by John Feroce
He referred to himself as a “F’n steamroller” and has gotten in trouble recently for secretly spying on Senate Majority Leader Joe Bruno. He made his name taking people down. Well now it’s his turn.
NY Times reports the following:
ALBANY - Gov. Eliot Spitzer has informed his most senior administration officials that he had been involved in a prostitution ring, an administration official said this morning.
Its either this Video or this Video
Update: It is now being reported by Foxnews and CNN, that he has not been indicted yet, it is an onging investigation with other high officials in NY Government now cooperating with authorities; He was however known to be “client #9″ as far back as February 7, 2008, but it remained sealed until today. So he remained in office for over a month while this was known! Shocking.

Can’t believe you beat me to it. I am sick of those corrupt hypocritical Republicans. They all need to resign. This is horrible. This man was the top law enforcement officer just last year. He knows better. Wait, I forgot. He is a Democrat.
It is okay. It is only about sex. Forget it.
David,
Have you seen the pictures of the girls though? At least he didn’t go Clinton on us.
They just took the website down - called emporersclubvip; appropriate because he thought himself as such if you followed his tenure.
The “Pillar of Ethics” who toppled Wall Street has fallen. How ironic that the man who single-handedly attached Wall Street admist the corporate scandals, is now in a ethnical (or possibly criminal) dilemma of his own.
I do not give a shit if he wants to screw hot whores, that’s his choice. I just hope he does not get syphilis, AIDS or gonorrhea.
Unless of course he ran the hooker ring then he needs to spend time in jail because that is racketeering and it violates the law. If he used public money to do it then he needs to go to Rikers Island. Daddy ran a hooker ring? Can you imagine being 12 and being told that? Run your campaign on moralism and the high moral ground see where it gets you…. The liberals typically have it right not to play the high moralist who never, ever does anything wrong ever….
At the same time, he should have been good, and people should look beyond reputation to real virtue which is not always perfect.
Well, you have to do SOMETHING to unwind from the stress of combating Republican malfeasance.
Just kidding - Spitzer’s gotta go. Rev up the bus…
I actually feel sorry for Hillary. Everywhere she goes her plans are derailed by some guy with his zipper open.
$5k an hour! Which party is the party of the rich?…are the Ds whording (no pun intended) all the money and we just don’t know it?
Which party is taking advantage of whom?
Although it is on a sad note, the fact that Lt Governor David Patterson will ascend to the Governorship of New York, is quite an accomplishment for someone who is legally blind.
As many of you know I went into the eyewear/eyecare business due to my own father’s bout with blindness.
Foxnews made a good point: Coverage of this should eclipse Obama coverage in Mississippi; should help Hillary in her quest to win PA.
It’s getting to the point where we can no longer trust any ethics reform proposals for our public servants which come from a member of a major political party.

First NJ, then NY…could PA be next? After all, it’s referred to as the Tri-state area.
I’m betting on FL next.
I am with Noman.
Why don’t these well-heeled morons just take a shuttle up to Montreal where it’s LEGAL????
It’s the whole having to show your passport thing now, real pain in the ass. Homeland Security’s fault.
Nice job spinning back to Bush
Hey, buddy, Monica was pretty hot, available at all times, and she was free. Don’t knock Bill. He didn’t have to pay for it. Women threw themselves at him. I don’t respect a man who has to buy it.
Now of course, I believe in innocent until proven guilty. I here a lot of rumors. I want to see what is up. The governor is encouraging rumors by not giving information. That is a shame.
“Why don’t these well-heeled morons just take a shuttle up to Montreal where it’s LEGAL????”
Becuase the Puritans still control the politcal machine and want to catch bad-boy dems and republicans fucking the wrong person at the wrong time. Or is it the right people at the right time…or if you are Larry Craig, the wrong guy at the wrong time. As a friend once said, if you are a democrat in politics you are likely screwing around on your wife, if you are republican it is much more likely to be with a man.
If it was me I would rather have a good wife, then there is no need for a hot whore unless they are one and the same, then it is perfect. (sic) Failing that, send the morons to Montreal.
Who was the Louisiana politician who said, “If you want to catch a politician, bait the trap with pussy.”
He didn’t resign??
So is he going to get the “Vitter” standing ovation?
[…] New York Governor/Super Delegate pledged to Hillary Clinton, Elliott Spitzer, really “Client #9″ who met with a prostitute named “Kristen” that was paid $4,300 for her […]
This is exactly why my wife won’t let me buy things on-line.
I think he was just doing his part to turn the economy around.
I dropped this comment over on DL. Pasting it here for those that do not peek to the other side.
Seriously, though…what’s one of the biggest reasons for the exercise in thoroughly crushing a politicians career (something in which media and, well, we bloggers participate)?
Hypocrisy. Think about it. Do you think it’s more about the crime, or more about what he’s done in light of what he’s built his career on?
The general public just seems to love knocking people off a pedestal, and when they do, it doesn’t stop there. That’s where the boots start stomping.
His transgression of being weak against his own personal will, in other words, being human, will ultimatlely be the potential fatal blow to his political career as they will be held up against the crusades of his Sheriff of Wall St Days.
It’s quite interesting, though. We hold politicians up to pure standards, but treat them with utter sub-human contempt.
Crap, also like over at DL, I have to add this comment…
That previous comment makes me sound like an apologist, but it was simply observations, that’s all.
His wife must be the biggest fool in America…..she probably thinks it’s a one-time deal. Now, she’s probably got AIDS, too.
Can we just make the quick, but no-less-important, distinction between “being involved in a prostitution ring,” which suggests some level of administrative involvement, and “hiring a hooker,” which puts him in with a solid 10-15% of the men in the United States.
Doesn’t make it better, just makes it the truth.
Who cares?
Just another reason to bash the other side and show your school yard behavior.
Wait, let me get into it:
Yeah, he’s a doodie face’d perv. That schmuck, he’s worse than (insert opposition politician’s sex scandal here). At least he didn’t have a wide stance. At least he didn’t do it in the governor’s office. At least he didn’t stash money in the freezer. At least he didn’t write a diary about it. At least he didn’t bang Marylin Monroe. At least he didn’t bang one of his slaves.
Who.
Cares.
I think the bigger legal issue here is that he is being accused of money laundering based on the transfers from account to account…and so on, before payment finally made. That’s real bad for a politician.
The media, and me, however, find the other part of the story much, much sexier…pun intended.
Since I do not beleive in slavery, or anythinglike a class system, I would bang anybody who asks as long as they are not a hooker and as long as they married me directly after the act. But obviously Spitzer would…..
I happened to be listening to ‘The John Riggins Show’….a program usually dedicated to sports….when they were talking about Spitzer. Riggins made a comment that, to me, says it all;
“It takes a special kind of coward to drag your wife onstage in this situation.”
We obviously don’t know what was discussed between the two of them, but for me, it was horribly painful to see her standing there by him. I wanted so bad for her to bump him off the podium and then to say what she really felt (in terms of what my imagination would have her saying).
I was hoping she would throw a pie in his face.
Yeah, that too.
